Zion is Where God Appears to Give Eternal Life

The Origin of the Laws of God

In the Old Testament, the law of God first came out from Mount Sinai. God proclaims His law from Mount Zion in the New Testament times. What does it mean that the law comes out from Zion?  The fact that the law comes out from Zion implies that God the Savior will appear from Zion. First, let us see how the law appeared on Mt. Sinai.

Exodus 24:12 The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain and stay here, and I will give you the tablets of stone, with the law and commandments I have written for their instruction.”

Exodus 31:18 When the Lord finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two tablets of the covenant law, the tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.

On Mt. Sinai God gave the two stone tablets with the law and commands He had written. This was the law of the Old Covenant, also referred to as the Law of Moses, which God gave to His people for the first time. And the other law of God appears in a place other than Mt. Sinai.

Isaiah 2:2-4 In the last days, the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and all nations will stream to it. Many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.” The law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

Isaiah prophesied that the law will go out from Mt. Zion. In the past, the law came out from Mt. Sinai, but in the last days, the law will go out from Mt. Zion.

Revelation 14:1 Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads.

In the book of Revelation, it is prophesied that the Lamb, God Almighty, will appear in Zion. God teaches us that the law is proclaimed in Zion. Who will proclaim the law in Zion?

Micah 4:1-2 In the last days the mountain of the LORD’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and peoples will stream to it. Many nations will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his  paths.” The law will go out from Zion, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

God will teach us His ways, the truth, so that we may walk in His paths. It is God who proclaims the law in Zion. Through God’s law, He reigns over His people and leads them. However, the prophecy does not state God will reign with the law that He proclaimed from Mt. Sinai 3,500 years ago. It is prophesied God will teach us with the law that comes out from Zion and He will reign over us with that law. Let us learn more about the law of life God proclaims from Zion in this last age.

God Gives Eternal Life in Zion

Eternal Life Prophesied From Zion

Isaiah 52:7-10 How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!” Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices; together they shout for joy. When the LORD returns to Zion, they will see it with their own eyes. Burst into songs of joy together, you ruins of Jerusalem, for the LORD has comforted his people, he has redeemed Jerusalem. The LORD will lay bare his holy arm in the sight of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God.

God said the feet of those who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!” are beautiful. In Zion, the LORD will comfort His people and they will see with their own eyes, the salvation of God. Let us confirm once more, that Christ, who is the Lamb, reigns in Zion.

Isaiah 25:6-9 On this mountain the LORD Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples, a banquet of aged wine— the best of meats and the finest of wines. On this mountain …he will swallow up death forever. …In that day they will say, “Surely this is our God; we trusted in him, and he saved us. This is the LORD, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.”

Isaiah 24:23 The moon will be dismayed, the sun ashamed; for the LORD Almighty will reign on Mount Zion.

In Isaiah 24, it is confirmed that the mountain of the LORD Almighty is Zion. Where does the Savior appear? He appears in Zion and swallows up death forever. With what does God destroy death forever? It is with the aged wine. What kind of wine has the power to swallow up death forever? It is only the Passover wine. Which law contains the Passover Wine? It is the law of the New Covenant. Let us confirm that God promises to swallow up death forever through the law of the New Covenant.

The New Covenant Passover is the Way to Eternal Life

Luke 22:7-9 Then came the day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover.” “Where do you want us to prepare for it?” they asked.

Luke 22:19-20 And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.”

What law does the Lamb who reigns on Mount Zion bring us? The law of the New Covenant. On the day of the Passover, God gives us bread and wine as Jesus’ flesh and blood. He called this the New Covenant. Does this really have the power to swallow up death forever?

John 6:53-54 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”

Jesus clearly states that we have no eternal life in us unless we eat His flesh and drink His blood. Only those who eat Jesus’ flesh and drink His blood will have eternal life and God will raise them up at the last day. However, can we eat Jesus’ actual flesh and blood? It is impossible. This is why Jesus made a ceremony allowing us to eat His flesh and drink His blood. Through the ceremony of the Passover of the New Covenant, Jesus let the Passover wine represent His blood and the Passover bread represents His flesh. What did Jesus promise to give people who eat His flesh and drink His blood? Eternal life. Giving us eternal life means to destroy death forever.

Only God Can Establish the Law of the New Covenant

God has appeared on this earth with the law of the New Covenant. The Bible says the only one who can establish the law of the New Covenant is God.

Jeremiah 31:31 “The days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah.

God said He will make a new covenant with His people.

Jeremiah 31:32-34 It will not be like the covenant I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they broke my covenant, though I was a husband to them, ” declares the LORD. “This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time,” declares the LORD. “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know the LORD,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,” declares the LORD. “For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”

When God led His people out of Egypt, God established the law of the Passover of the Old Covenant. Through Moses, God proclaimed the Old Covenant on Mt. Sinai. And God said He will establish a New Covenant, which will be different than the first because His people broke the Old Covenant. It is prophesied that at the appointed time God will come to this earth to establish and proclaim the New Covenant from Zion. When we see this fulfilled, we will be able to identify God Almighty with our very own eyes in Zion. It is only God who can fulfill this prophecy in Jeremiah. It is only God who can come to establish and proclaim the law of the New Covenant and bless us to realize it.

Isaiah 29:10 The LORD has brought over you a deep sleep: He has sealed your eyes (the prophets); he has covered your heads (the seers).

Jesus proclaimed the Passover of the New Covenant 2,000 years ago. However, after the Apostolic Age, the Passover was abolished in 325 A.D. Afterwards, the truth was destroyed one by one and the dark ages took place as it was prophesied in the Bible. A long time of 1,600 years passed of spiritual darkness. Although the Bible was still accessible to all people for those 1,600 years, no one ever mentioned keeping the New  Covenant Passover. What is the reason? It is because God said only He will establish, proclaim and restore the truth of the New Covenant.

God Has Appeared in Zion

It is prophesied God will come to this earth to establish the law of the New Covenant. God said He will proclaim this New Covenant from Zion and grant salvation. When we see this fulfilled, we will be able to identify God Almighty in the flesh with our very own eyes in Zion. Only those who belong to God will hear what God says and come to Zion to meet God and receive salvation.

John 8:47 Whoever belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.”

If we want to be the ones who belong to God and receive eternal life, we need to keep the New Covenant Passover, which has already been established by God in Zion.
