Second Coming Christ and Hidden Manna
December 7, 2020
When the Second Coming Christ comes to save His people in the last age, we can confirm with the prophecies recorded in the Bible that He will bring the New Covenant Passover; the reality of hidden Manna.
Christ Gives Eternal Life
John 5:39-40 “You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life.”
The Bible testifies about the second coming Christ. With the Bible we can realize who He is and can receive eternal life. Without the Bible, we can neither meet God nor enter salvation.
John 6:29-31 Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.” So they asked him, “What sign then will you give that we may see it and believe you? What will you do? Our ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written: ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’“
People wanted to find out if Jesus was God and they asked Jesus for a sign as a proof. The sign they asked Jesus for was to rain down manna from Heaven just like their ancestors in the times of Jehovah. Why did the people ask Jesus specifically to rain down the manna?
The Origin of Manna
Exodus 16:1-7, 31 The whole Israelite community…grumbled against Moses and Aaron. The Israelites said to them, “If only we had died by the Lord’s hand in Egypt! There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted, but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death.”Then the Lord said to Moses, “I will rain down bread from heaven for you…….The people of Israel called the bread manna…..
As the Bible quotes, the Israelites ran out of food one month after they left Egypt. The people worried and began to grumble against Moses and Aaron. In order to help them, God rained down bread from Heaven which was called “Manna.”
The Reality of Manna
This manna in the desert simply refers to physical food. Jesus said those who ate the manna in the desert ended up dying, nevertheless, He mentioned that there is bread that gives eternal life.
John 6:49-58 “Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, yet they died. But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which anyone may eat and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”……..Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day…the one who feeds on me will live because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.”
Jesus indicates that His flesh is the reality of manna and that if we eat His flesh and drink His blood we can receive eternal life.
The Manna is the Passover
Matthew 26:17-18, 26-28 On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?”…While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”
The Passover is the way to eat Jesus’ flesh; the reality of manna. The Passover bread represents Jesus’ flesh and the wine His blood. According to John 6:53, we can receive eternal life if we keep the Passover.
During the 4th century, the Passover of the new covenant was abolished in the Council of Nicaea. Since then, the Passover could not be found anywhere on this Earth. The Bible prophesied that Christ would come a second time for salvation.
Hebrews 9:28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
Salvation is given through the Jesus’ flesh and blood; the Passover of the new covenant, the reality of manna. Revelation describes this manna as a “hidden manna” because the Passover was abolished and hasn’t been kept for approximately 1,600 years.
Second Coming Christ Gives the Hidden Manna
Revelation 2:17 “Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it.”
Revelation records a prophecy about the second coming Jesus (God of the Holy Spirit) giving out this hidden manna. God already prophesied that His set times and laws would be changed (Gal 1:6 & Dan 7:25). If God’s set times and laws remain changed, no one can reach salvation, which is the reason why God needed to come to restore the Passover. It is only Christ Ahnsahnghong who restored the Passover of the new covenant. We can confirm that He must be the second coming Christ with the hidden manna.
