Unsealed by the Root of David: The Bible’s True Message

Unsealed by the Root of David: The Bible’s True Message

It’s common knowledge that the Bible is the best-selling book of all time.  The promises contained within the Bible have resulted in innumerable Christian churches and just as many denominations.  Each of these churches study the same Bible, but each interprets the Bible differently.  God’s message is perfect, but can every interpretation be faithful to God’s word?  Why do churches adopt different doctrines?  Through the prophecies in the book of Revelation, we will see that the Bible’s true interpretation is sealed and can only be unsealed by the Root of David.

Is any interpretation of the Bible sufficient for salvation?

People attend church to learn about and receive salvation.  Every Christain church claims to have the means of granting salvation to its members.  Can studying the Scriptures lead people to eternal life, whether individually or with just any church?  What did Jesus Himself say about studying the Bible?

Jn 5:39  You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me

By saying this, did Jesus suggest that everyone who studies the Scriptures would have eternal life?   By His own words, this is not the case.

Mt 7:21  Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

Hypocrites and Liars!

As Jesus addressed the Pharisees and teachers of the law, the ones responsible for the spiritual well-being of the people, did He commend them for their understanding of the Scriptures?  On the contrary, He declared just the opposite.  Jesus said,

Mt 23:13  Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to.

Through Jesus’ words, we can see that even the most-studied religious scholars do not interpret Scripture correctly and therefore cannot receive the gift of eternal life.  Moreover, they lead others away from the kingdom of heaven.  Although every Christian uses the same Bible, albeit different translations, their collective understanding is wrong.  How can we know?  Jesus, Himself tells us through a revelation provided to Apostle John.

He wept and wept!

In Revelation chapter five, we see Apostle John weeping because the scroll (Bible) was perfectly sealed, and no one was found worthy to unseal the Bible.

Rev 5:1-4  Then I saw in the right hand of him who sat on the throne a scroll with writing on both sides and sealed with seven seals. And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming in a loud voice, “Who is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll?” But no one . . . could open the scroll or even look inside it. I wept and wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside.

Apostle John was so distraught because nobody in the world could interpret the true meaning of the Bible.  This passage does not describe physically opening the Bible as people open it daily.  Being sealed suggests that not just anybody can know the correct interpretation of Scripture.  Does this mean we will never know the true meaning of God’s message?  Not at all!

Rev 5:5  Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.”

God showed Apostle John that the scroll could only be unsealed by the Root of David.  Of all the churches in the world, we must seek the church established by the Root of David to find salvation.

When will the scroll be unsealed by the Root of David?

The Bible tells of the timeframe when those who seek and revere David are saved.

Hos 3:5  Afterward the Israelites will return and seek the Lord their God and David their king. They will come trembling to the Lord and to his blessings in the last days.

The prophet Hosea stated that God’s blessings could be found by those seeking David.  God’s blessings include salvation and eternal life.  When will those seeking David return to God?  The Bible says, “in the last days.”  This prophecy insinuates that we can never be saved if we do not meet David in the last days.

Who is the Root of David?

If the Root of David can only unseal the scroll (Bible), then we must find the Root of David to find salvation.  Then who will come as the Root of David in this age and open the Bible sealed with seven seals?  Let us find out through the Bible.

Rev 22:16  I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.

Who is the Root of David?  He is Jesus!  Does the Root of David in Revelation 5 indicate the Jesus who came in the flesh 2,000 years ago?  He must be the Second Coming Jesus since the prophecy was written after His first coming.  After the First Coming Jesus, the Bible will be sealed for some time and then reopened when He appears a second time.

The sign of the Root of David!

Jesus comes as the Root of David in the last days, but how will we recognize Him?  The Bible clearly shows many false Christs and false prophets will present themselves in the last days when Christ comes a second time.  The Bible tells us the Second Coming Christ, who comes as the Root of David, has a sign that proves His identity.

Isa 55:3  Give ear and come to me; listen, that you may live.  I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David.

God said He would establish an everlasting covenant with David to save our souls.  His promise was only to David, so the Savior who comes as David will bring the everlasting covenant as His sign.  To recognize the Second Coming Christ, we must know the everlasting covenant.  What is the everlasting covenant promised to David?

Heb 13:20  Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep

The everlasting (eternal) covenant established with blood indicates the covenant established with Jesus’ blood, the Passover of the New Covenant.

Lk 22:20 . . . he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.

The New Covenant Passover, the sign of the Second Coming Jesus who gives us the Bible unsealed by the Root of David
The Last Supper depicts the New Covenant Passover, the sign of the Second Coming Jesus who gives us the Bible unsealed by the Root of David.

Christ Ahnsahnghong is the Root of David who unsealed the Bible!

Christ Ahnsahnghong restored the New Covenant Passover after being abolished in A.D. 325 at the Council of Nicaea almost 1,700 years ago.  The Passover, the everlasting covenant, proves He is the Second Coming Jesus and the Root of David.  Fulfilling every prophecy of the Savior coming in the last days, Christ Ahnsahnghong established the World Mission Society Church of God and gave us the true teachings of the Bible unsealed by the Root of David.  Only in the Church of God established by the Root of David can we find salvation.
