Ahnsahnghong, the new name of Christ!

January 24, 2017

Christians throughout the world call upon the name of Jesus as their Savior, but the World Mission Society Church of God calls upon the name of Ahnsanghong. Why is it that a Christian church would use a name other than Jesus as the name of the Savior? It’s because the Bible teaches that Jesus would come back with a new name in order to give us salvation. That name is Ahnsahnghong.

Jesus’ Second Coming

Is it biblical to believe that the name Ahnsahnghong will give us salvation? According to the Bible, Christ who came 2,000 years ago is prophesied to come a second time.

Hebrews 9:28 “so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.”

God has given us the gracious promise that he will come back for the sake of God’s people. When He returns, He will bring us salvation. To receive Christ and salvation at His second coming, it’s important for us to understand God’s plan of salvation.

It’s all about God’s timing!

Ecclesiastes 3:1 “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:”

We have absolutely no control over time or season, only God can control these things; that’s why it’s called God’s providence. What we can see, though, is that there is a specific time for everything and for all activities. If there’s an activity, there’s a desired outcome. For example, people go to college to get a degree so that they may have a career. Our life of faith, too, has a goal we are trying to achieve. We all want salvation! (1 Peter 1:8) Otherwise, what’s the point in going to church, studying the Bible, and believing in God?

Since God is the only one that can give us salvation, then we must look into the providence of God and see the way He established it. Under God’s providence, the plan of salvation was divided into 3 different ages. God gave a different name of the Savior in each respective age. Teaching us about time limitation.

Matthew 28:19-20 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Baptism in Three Names

Baptism is the first step to become a child of God. This is a common understanding among churches. However, Jesus revealed to us something very special in his plan of salvation. He said we must be baptized in the NAME of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

“Father” and “Son” are titles and not names, that means they must have a name. The name of the Father is Jehovah. What about the name of the Son? Jesus. Easy! However, what about the Holy Spirit? Since Jesus said we must be baptized in 3 names, then we can’t dismiss that the Holy Spirit must have a name. Otherwise we would have to believe that Jesus would give us an impossible task, leaving us no way to be baptized in three names. For instance, baptism is conducted with water, if water didn’t exist then we couldn’t be baptized with it. God wants us to be saved, so He wouldn’t give us a commandment that we cannot follow through with.

Ahnsahnghong, the Name of the Holy Spirit

If we’ve never heard that the Holy Spirit has a name, then this would sound like a new teaching. However, though the name will be new, this teaching is not. Jesus revealed that He will come back with a new name and the title of the Holy Spirit through the revelation that He gave the apostle John.

Revelation 3:11-13 “I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown. The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name. Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

Jesus said He would come again. When He comes, what will He have? A new name! At Jesus’ second coming He will not have the same name, nor will He come with the name Jehovah. Ahnsahnghong is Jesus who has come a second time with a new name. He has come with the mission of the Holy Spirit to remind and teach us of everything.

Why Christ Must Come as the Holy Spirit

John 14:26 “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”

Christ gave us all of the teachings Christians should follow in order to have the gracious promise of the Kingdom of Heaven. However, after His ascension and the death of the apostles, according to the parable of the weeds, the truth of life was lost. Once the early church came to Rome, it was corrupted and many pagan teachings were brought into Christianity. This is why Jesus told us that the Holy Spirit would come and remind us of everything that He already taught us. We don’t have to be reminded of something unless it had been forgotten.

God’s people have been wandering around in darkness, not knowing the way of salvation. Christ Ahnsahnghong has come with the mission of the Holy Spirit in this last age and has restored all of the teachings that were established at his first coming. He revealed to us the biblical Sabbath, Passover the feast of life, and the most beautiful truth of them all, the existence of our Heavenly Mother.

We thank Father Ahnsahnghong for coming in these last days and opening the way of salvation once again; allowing us the opportunity to be baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
